Beattie's Bottom Line: Macau Is Great Mcvalue

FORMER Gosford Racing Club CEO and racing steward Michael Beattie may be a long way from home, but things don't change.

Beattie, whose reputation for tight-fistedness is legendary, is just settling into his new position as chief steward in Macau.

He told our racing man Geoff Wilson that the joint is fantastic.

"They have the cheapest McDonalds in the world," said the man who once famously asked for a receipt for a cup of coffee at the Golden Arches that cost 60 cents.
